The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák today (October 16 ) received the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Kenya Amina C. Mohamed , who will be participating in the Bratislava conference "Ten years of SlovakAid". The main point of discussion was about the development aid, which is a value-added relationship, which the Slovak government provides to Kenya since 2004 and has supported 33 bilateral projects. " We are ready to continue to assist in the transition based on our experience and reform processes , particularly in the decentralization of governance, security sector reform and the role of civil society , " said the head of Slovak diplomacy . "Development aid has significant effect on trade and economic cooperation, and has induced new momentum which has begun to bear fruit in the form of implementation of projects, “said the Minister. Both partners discussed the possibilities of intensifying the political dialogue between the Slovak Republic and Kenya, as well as trade and economic cooperation, particularly in the energy and infrastructure projects. M. Lajčák informed A. C. Mohamed the intention to significantly increase the number of scholarship places for Kenyan students in the academic year 2014/2015. They also exchanged views on the situation of the region of East Africa and discussed the role of the International Criminal Court (ICC).
